Certification and Advancement
Cisco Certified Network Associate Training Program provides students with the essential knowledge to install, configure, and operate simple routed LANs and WANs and obtain Cisco® CCNA® certification training. The Learner will gain knowledge of switched LAN Emulation networks made up of Cisco® equipment.
Course Overview
With a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA®), learners will have the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size route and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. CCNA curriculum includes basic mitigation of security threats, introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and performance-based skills. The curriculum also includes (but is not limited to) the use of these protocols: IP, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Serial Line Interface Protocol Frame Relay, Routing Information Protocol Version 2 (RIPv2), VLANs, Ethernet, access control lists (ACLs)(1). The eight-week course provides the student with the ability to complete configuration and implementation of a small branch office network. Class meets twice a week.
