The goal of this program is to prepare students to work in the Information Technology field in a variety of positions working in software programming and development.
Students will be prepared to obtain the following Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified SQL Server
- Microsoft Certified Cloud Developer (C# and .NET)
Competency Goals
- Become proficient in the theory of optimization, transactions, indexing, installing SQL Server, database administration, clustering, implementing programmability objects, designing and implementing database objects, managing database concurrency, and optimizing SQL infrastructure and database objects
- Become proficient in DevOps skills such as continuous integration, delivery, and deployment, Infrastructure-as-Code, and more using DevOps tools such as Git, SVN, Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Puppet, Ansible, Selenium, Maven, Nagios, etc.
- Learn the features of Angular and Angular component libraries, the need for TypeScript, the life cycle of Angular components, creating responsive web designs, and more through real-world projects and case studies
- Learn various basic and advanced concepts of Node.js, including asynchronous programming, file systems, ExpressJS, MongoDB, REST APIs, etc.
- Installation of MongoDB, JSON, data modeling, and schema design
- Understand HTML and jQuery and Linux Advanced Administration
This program is 720 total contact hours over a 24-30 week period. Classes are offered in the daytime Monday through Thursday from 9:30am until 2:30pm; or in the evening from 5:30pm until 10:30pm. In order to complete the Front-End Web Designer/Developer program, students must complete all seven of the courses listed below:
